Applying for International admission is a two step process. First complete the ETSU Application for Undergraduate Admission. Next complete the Application for International Student Admission. The appropriate forms are available below.
Apply for Admission (step one)
Complete the regular undergraduate application form ( online
*, paper). Submit a non-refundable application fee. The non-refundable application fee is $35. Use the Credit Card authorization form with paper applications. Return the paper application to Office of Undergraduate Admissions, ETSU, PO Box 70731, Johnson City, TN 37614.
If submitting online application, choose International Undergraduate from application type list.
Apply for International Student Admission (step two)
Complete the International Student Application by paper ( available here). Return to the Undergraduate Office of Admissions, ETSU, PO Box 70731, Johnson City, TN 37614.
Forward your transcripts.
Request that official, certified secondary school and/or college grade (mark) sheets in English translations be sent directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, ETSU, PO Box 70731, Johnson City, TN 37614. An official copy is a sealed, unopened version. Faxed versions are acceptable for preliminary analysis only. Final acceptance requires official documents.
Submit Examination Results
Provide official results from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). English Language Services (ELS) results from an official academic record demonstrating successful completion of Level 112 English for Academic Purposes can be submitted for English Language Proficiency. ETSU requires official ACT/SAT scores from international freshman applicants under the age of 21 who graduated from a US high school.
Apply for housing
If you are planning to live on campus (not required), you must apply early for university housing. Use the application available from the Housing webpage. Be sure to include the appropriate housing application fee.
Apply for your Meal Plan
If you are living on campus, fill out the Resident Advantage Mean Plan form and return it to the Campus Dining office. If you are living off campus, fill out the Commuter Meal Plan form and return it to the Campus Dining office or sign up online. Complete the health forms
New students must complete two health forms prior to registering for classes and enrolling in ETSU. The Student Health Form and the Meningitis and Hepatitis B Immunization Health Form. Health history requirements may be viewed from the Health Services webpage.
Provide Financial Support and Other Information
Provide certification from a parent or guardian or other responsible person or organization that ample financial support will be provided while attending ETSU. Financial documentation provided must be original documents.
