Welcome to the Department of Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation Management (KSRM) web site. Selected components of the KSRM programs including undergraduate and graduate programs of study, and our faculty are presented.

The mission of the Department of Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation Management is to enhance the quality of life through the promotion of healthy, active lifestyles; and to prepare students for leadership roles in the development and administration of education, sport and recreation programs.

The Department of Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation Management offers the following baccalaureate degree programs:

  • The Bachelor of Science in Physical Education with a concentration of Kindergarten - 12th grade Physical Education Teacher Education
  • The Bachelor of Science in Sport and Leisure Management with concentrations in 1) Sport Management, and 2) Park & Recreation Management

Our graduate program offers the opportunity to earn the Master of Arts in Kinesiology and Sport Studies with a concentration in Sport Management.

In addition, the department serves approximately 2,000 students a year in the Active Lifestyles and Wellness Program, offering courses ranging from aerobics, disc sports, fitness and strength training to tennis, golf, relaxation, softball, soccer, and mountain biking.
