Early Childhood Development Major

Students who choose Early Childhood Development as a major enjoy the option of teaching in public schools, working as an advocate for young children in various community positions, or providing direct child care for young children in group settings. Students completing the BS in Early Childhood Development (PreK-3 Licensure) are qualified to teach in the public school system and in early childhood model programs. Students completing a BS in Early Childhood Development (Non-Licensure) are qualified to work in a variety of early childhood settings outside the public school system.
