Why Quillen

I knew that I wanted to attend Quillen the moment that I arrived on campus. The faculty, staff, and students welcomed me with open arms, and have accepted me as an integral member of the Quillen family. The class size allows for an intimate learning environment with faculty who know you by name, respect your experience, and who want you to succeed.

Juggling School and Family
Finding time to dedicate to family is difficult. Time management is a nightmare for any med student who has loved ones asking "when is it time for me?" Knowing that you are doing it for them is what makes the lost hours of sleep worth it.

Life Outside The Classroom
I dedicate my free time to my wife and working out, but mostly my wife. There is plenty to do in the Tri-Cities area, and we try to find something new every week. The trails are phenomenal, the bbq is incredible, and if you love water sports and fishing, this is the place for you.

Prior Life
I took a break from college to serve as a medic in the Army. I was fortunate to work under the best physicians and surgeons in the world, who influenced me to take this path. I am forever grateful for what the Army did for me, and plan to serve this great nation again upon completion of medical school.

Words of Wisdom

It is easy to lose yourself in your books, make time for the things that matter most to you. Maintain professionalism at all times. Eat healthy, exercise, and try to find for sleep.
