Imaging Sciences (Radiography) Home

The Imaging Sciences (Radiography) program is designed for students who have completed two years of pre-professional college work inclusive of general education and allied health core courses. General education requirements must be completed as outlined in the university catalog.  The curriculum integrates didactic and clinical instruction with increasing expectations at each level to prepare the student to competently practice in the health care community.

Graduates of the ETSU Imaging Sciences (Radiography) Program meet the educational requirements to begin the application process for the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). The ARRT requires candidates to be of good moral character. Misdemeanor speeding convictions are not required to be reported unless they are related to alcohol or drug use. A pre-application may be completed to determine eligibility. Additional information regarding eligibility requirements can be reviewed here.  The ARRT may be contacted at (651) 687-0048 for individual consultation.

The ETSU Imaging Sciences (Radiography) Program is accredited by The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology.  The program effectiveness data, including ARRT pass rate, job placement rate, and program completion rate can be reviewed here.

Ground classes are held at the Nave Center in Elizabethton.
