JOHNSON CITY – A 30-hour training seminar in school-age child care will be offered by the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) in Morristown beginning in January.
Classes will be held at Walters State Community College from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on the following five Saturdays: Jan. 19, Feb. 2 and 16, and March 2 and 16.
Participants must currently work with children in a school-age child care setting to be eligible for the training. There is no cost for this seminar. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
TECTA is a statewide early childhood professional development system established to support and enhance the qualifications of early childhood education personnel. TECTA is coordinated in this region by East Tennessee State University's Center for Early Childhood Learning and Development, one of the state's Centers of Excellence. This training is supported by the Tennessee Department of Human Services and Child Care Licensing.
