Dates & Deadlines

January 1

  • Complete FAFSA as soon as possible with accurate income and tax information.
  • TSAA--File FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1.  Awards are made until funds are depleted.

February 1

  • Review your SAR and read the comments. If selected for verification, print the verification form, request a Federal Tax Transcript from the IRS, and submit all requirements to the ETSU Office of Financial Aid.
  • Deadline to have FAFSA processed to be considered for TN Education Lottery Scholarships for the spring and summer semesters.

March 1

April 15

  • Priority date to have FAFSA filed, verification complete, all corrections made, and file ready to package for Fall term.
  • Go online to GoldLink and check your Financial Aid status frequently.
  • The Office of Financial Aid will begin accepting spouse/dependent fee discount forms for the summer semester.

May 15

June 1

  • All awards on GoldLink must be accepted or declined and all student requirements must be received and complete for aid to be ready at start of Fall classes.

July 1

  • URGENT:  Filing your FAFSA after July 1 will delay the receipt of your financial aid, and it may be necessary for you to pay your fees, tuition, and other expenses without financial aid by the fee payment deadline.
  • The Office of Financial Aid will begin accepting spouse/dependent fee discount forms for fall semester

September 1

  • Deadline to have FAFSA processed to be considered for TN Education Lottery Scholarship for the fall semester.

November 1

  • Priority date to have FAFSA filed, Mid-Year Enrollment Form (available at a later date) submitted, verification complete, all corrections made, and file ready to package for Spring term.

November 15

  • The Office of Financial Aid will begin accepting spouse/dependent fee discount forms for spring semester.
