Passwords for all accounts must meet the following requirements.
For new accounts, there is no default password. The password can be set over at http://www.etsu.edu/activate/. For new departmental accounts, you may contact the Helpdesk to have the password set.
If you're currently logged into a ETSU PC, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete on the keyboard. You'll find the Change Password option. Click on that. You'll be asked for the current password, the new password and to verify the new password. The new password must meet the requirements outlined above. When the password submission is successful, you'll be given a message saying that your password has been changed.
If you're not logged into a ETSU PC, you can reset the password over at http://www.etsu.edu/activate/. For a departmental account, please contact the Helpdesk.
If you receive an unsolicited e-mail asking you for your username and password, do NOT respond. ETSU will never send you an e-mail asking you for your username and password.
