GattonRx Summer Camp
June 2-6, 2025
Students interested in learning more about the pharmacy profession can attend the GattonRx Summer Camp at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, an overnight camp on June 2-6, 2025. Apply here.
The camp is open to rising high school juniors, seniors and those entering their first year of college. Other levels may be considered on an individual basis.
An online application is required for the camp. If accepted, the residential camp fee is $250 for a double occupancy room and $325 for a single occupancy room. For students wanting to commute, a day camp option is available for $100. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify.
Spots are limited; campers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
Camp Activities
- Learn about the pharmacy profession from faculty and local pharmacists
- Develop real-world pharmacy skills through hands-on compounding labs and simulations
- Hear from student pharmacists about their experience
- Get admissions-ready through interactive workshops
- Tour our facilities on the ETSU Academic Health Sciences Center campus, as well as local pharmacy sites
- Grow in community with peers
For residential campers, all meals are included and will be at ETSU’s D.P. Culp Student Center Dining Hall. In the evening, students will enjoy a range of activities, including bowling, a movie night, mini-golf and more. Students will stay overnight on campus at Governors Hall.
For day campers, lunch will be provided.
“Campers will learn more about the pharmacy profession in a safe and fun environment at our overnight camp,” said Steve Ellis, assistant dean for student affairs. “There are so many professional opportunities in pharmacy and this overnight camp will give students the chance to learn about these opportunities and grow in community with their peers and our dedicated faculty, staff and student pharmacists.”
