Taylor Duncan
Cologuard Instructor
- Mathes Hall 14
After performing in colorguard for many years at Tennessee High School, Taylor Duncan
fell in love with the activity and decided to pursue it at a higher caliber. In college
she marched with the Pride of the Southland colorguard at the University of Tennessee.
She went on to march drum corps, first at the DCA corps Carolina Gold and later at
the DCI corps Phantom Regiment, as well as several independent winterguards including
Legacy Independent in open class and First Flight in world class.
Taylor currently teaches the colorguard program at Tennessee High School and was formerly
the colorguard director at Farragut High School from 2019-2023. Both groups garnered
many awards under her instruction and students of hers have gone on to march world
class organizations of their own.
Taylor has thoroughly enjoyed taking her passion for this activity and channeling
it into her career as an instructor. She loves getting to inspire students to push
their skills further than they thought possible and watching them fall in love with
performing the way she did over a decade ago.
