Megan Piercy is a Master Lecturer in Brand Communication with over 13 years teaching experience. She is pursuing a PhD in Strategic Communication from Liberty University. Piercy is coordinator of the internship program, instructor in Photoshop in the Adobe Certified Associate course, and regularly co-leads the AAF National Student Advertising Competition. The NSAC team has won District 7 four times (2023, 2022, 2020, and 2018) and placed in the Top 8 Nationally three times (2022, 2020, and 2018). She is the faculty director of BucHouse Student Agency, the ETSU School of Marketing and Media's integrated marketing communications agency. A community advocate, Piercy is a champion for community engaged learning, partnering with regional non-profit organizations for brand campaigns produced by BucBrands, the program's capstone experience. Piercy specializes in small business brand communication strategy and her research interests are in media bias and Appalachian media culture and digital literacy.
