Program Overview

East Tennessee State University’s Department of Physical Therapy has partnered with the James H. Quillen Veterans Hospital to develop an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency Program.

The program is 12 months in length and prepares the resident for clinical practice in Orthopaedic physical therapy. Successful completion of the residency qualifies the resident to sit for the board certification exam in Orthopaedics administered by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists (ABPTS).

Salary is paid through the VAMC and is $52,625 in 2024.
