Art Exhibit
Watching the children view their own artwork in a museum gallery was by far the most rewarding moment of the 4th Annual Little Buccaneers Early Childhood Laboratory Program Art Exhibition Fundraiser. This year's event took place at the Reese Museum, where museum curator Spenser Brenner worked with the teachers to ensure that the children's project work was professionally displayed throughout the museum. The purpose of his design was to allow the children to tour their families through the galleries, proudly explaining their pieces.
The reception featured a guest book, auction bidding sheets and an area with snacks and beverages. Many of the children attended the reception dressed in "fancy clothes" and smiles were seen throughout the evening.
The special guest of the evening was Nikki Dolan (seen on the left, above), the former Little Buc's Program Coordinator, who created this art fundraiser four years ago.
The fundraiser was successful and Little Buc's will use the funds for outdoor classroom improvements and professional development opportunities for the teachers, which includes them traveling to Knoxville in June to attend the UT Early Learning Institute.
