About iHEART

We are a social science research team in the Research Division of the Department of Family Medicine at ETSU's Quillen College of Medicine that includes Ivy Click, EdD and Abbey Mann, PhD, and several ETSU graduate students. The focus of our work is on access to physical and mental health care for LGBTQ+ populations in South Central Appalachia and the development, adaptation, and implementation of LGBTQ+ health educational interventions for current and future healthcare providers. 

Mission

Our mission is to identify and better understand barriers to care facing sexual and gender minority communities and to provide education that promotes inclusivity and understanding among healthcare providers and institutions in South Central Appalachia.
