Brief Bio:
Dr. Olsen finished a family practice residency prior to beginning his OB/GYN residency
at University of Tennessee Chattanooga. He leads a pioneering program involving medication
assisted therapy for pregnant women with opioid use disorder. In this voluntary program,
patients are offered the opportunity to taper their medication assisted therapy doses
in an effort to reduce Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome in their newborns. Dr. Olsen's
outside interests include photography, Appalachian literature, and travel.
