Stanton-Gerber Hall, Building 178
Located on Maple Avenue, with 183,000 square feet, this is Quillen's basic sciences
building. It also houses primary administrative offices including the Dean of Medicine,
Academic and Faculty Affairs, Admissions, Financial Services and Student Affairs.
Student Study Center
This is a dedicated area for Quillen students with access 24 hours/day. Single, double and group study rooms are available as well as a fully equipped kitchen, open dining area and cozy lounge area with leather furniture and a TV. There’s also a full feature patio and a half-court area for basketball.
Medical Library, Building 4
The Medical Library is three stories, with open seating and multiple study rooms. It is home to several resources including expert medical librarians, computers, printing, scanning, book collections, a 24/7 study floor, exercise room, a bike checkout service, an academic support counselor, Biomedical Communications, and a VR lab.
William L. Jenkins Forensic Center, Building 6
Carl A. Jones Hall, Building 1
Carl A. Jones Hall, or Building 1, is one of the earliest structures built by the VA. It now houses the Quillen departments of Internal Medicine, Microbiology, OBGYN, Pathology, Pediatrics, Pharmacology and Surgery.
Interprofessional Education and Research Center, Building 60
Also known as Bd. 60 or IPER Center. Here ETSU's Academic Health Sciences Center, including medicine, pharmacy, nursing, public health and clinical and rehabilitative health sciences, share a truly innovative space to provide students first-hand experiences in team-based care.
Ed Allen Hall, Building 2
Ed Allen Hall is another building once used as a patient domiciliary in the early 1900s. Today it houses Quillen’s Departments of Family Medicine, Physical Therapy and Communicative Disorders.
Clock Tower and Museum, Building 34
Built in 1902 as a mess hall, this building is now referenced as the Clock Tower, and serves as a focal point of the VA grounds. The most striking feature of the building is the elaborate bell tower in the center of an equally elaborate front façade. A fountain flows in the summer months.
Wayne G. Basler Center for Physical Activity
This 120,000 square foot facility dedicates over 19,000 square feet to a weight and cardio area and includes courts for volleyball, indoor soccer and basketball, and studio areas for martial arts, yoga and cycling, an 1/8 mile track and 8-lane swimming pool. For outdoor enthusiasts, there is a trail system, a 9-hole disc golf course, 6 tennis courts and an aerial adventure course with climbing, rappelling and boulder tower.
