Welcome to the College of Public Health!

We offer five undergraduate degrees, nine undergraduate minors, three master's degrees, a doctoral degree with three concentrations, and two dual degrees (MD/MPH and PharmD/MPH). We also offer graduate certificates - perfect for trying graduate-level courses or gaining a skillset for your resume. All programs in the college are accredited by CEPH.

Undergraduate Students
East Tennessee State University's College of Public Health offers several undergraduate bachelor’s programs to equip students with the foundational knowledge and skills to succeed in the public health field. To complement their major, students can also choose from various minor programs such as: emergency/disaster response management, environmental and occupational health and safety sciences, epidemiology, global health and development (includes a Peace Corps prep program), health administration, health sciences, microbiology, public health, and safety. These programs prepare students for careers in research, education, policy, and practice, addressing public health issues locally and globally. The College of Public Health also has an accelerated bachelor's to master's program for students to start coursework in an MPH or MHA program at ETSU. Graduate Students
East Tennessee State University's College of Public Health offers various graduate programs to advance students' knowledge and skills. The college offers several Master's degrees and a Doctoral program. For those seeking specialized training, the college also provides several Graduate Certificates focusing in various areas, including: biostatistics, epidemiology, gerontology, global health, health care management, health data analytics, one health & climate studies, public health, recovery research, and rural public health. The College of Public Health also has an accelerated bachelor's to master's program for undergraduate students enrolled at ETSU that are interested in starting the MPH or MHA while still an undergraduate student. - How much is the ETSU Undergraduate application? $35 for international students, $25 for domestic. This fee is non-refundable.
- Can you help me with the visa process? The International Enrollment and services office deals with I-20s. Please email international@etsu.edu
- I am interested in pursuing a medical degree/attending medical school. Which bachelor
programs should I consider within the College of Public Health? I would recommend reviewing our Health Sciences, Microbiology or Environmental Health
degree programs. These programs fulfill the major science requirements for medical
school and prepare you for higher education and job placement.
- I am interested in applying for one of the graduate degrees (MPH, MHA, DrPH) where
should I start? Start by applying through SOPHAS.
- Will ETSU give me a fee waiver for SOPHAS? At this time, ETSU does not offer SOPHAS fee waivers. You can try to apply for a waiver
through SOPHAS. ETSU is not involved in this process. Click here for more information.
