The Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at East Tennessee State University
is an accredited 2-year program (5 consecutive semesters) focusing on the diagnosis, treatment,
and research of communicative disorders in children and adults. The program's curriculum provides intense education on the disorders and conditions
that arise in the field. The goal of receiving a Masters of Science at this is institution
is to prepare students to enter the work force as competent, well-rounded Speech-Language
Pathologists providing the best care to all patients.
ETSU has a wide variety of clinic placements in both child and adult settings. Each
student is provided with multiple opportunities on and off campus in school, clinic,

If you are more interested in the adult settings, you will gain the knowledge necessary
to provide therapy for individuals with tracheotomies, voice disorders, motor speech disorders, aphasia, and dysphagia,
including performing modified barium swallow imaging studies at our local VA hospital.
