PROFESSIONAL SERVICE
- Dr. Williams has a history of service to the profession as a Member and Topic Chair of the Convention Program Committee for a number of annual conventions of the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Co-Chair of the 2014 ASHA Convention, Associate Editor for the American Journal of Speech-Language Pathology (AJSLP) and Language, Speech, and Hearing Services in the Schools (LSHSS). Dr. Williams currently chairs the ASHA Ad Hoc Committee on Graduate Education in Speech-Language Pathology (2018-2019). Finally, Dr. Williams served as Vice President for Academic Affairs in Speech-Language Pathology on the ASHA Board of Directors (2016-2018), and was recently elected ASHA President to serve 2020-2022.
