JOHNSON CITY (Jan. 17, 2020) – East Tennessee State University’s College of Nursing is among the top 100 best online master’s in nursing programs in the country, according to a new report released this week by U.S. News & World Report.
The U.S. News Best Online Programs ranks ETSU’s online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) 77th in the country. It was one of only three Tennessee programs in the top 100.
“We are proud of this ranking because it reflects the commitment and hard work of our students and faculty to further nursing education in our state,” said Dr. Wendy Nehring, dean of the ETSU College of Nursing. “Our MSN program is fully online, so it provides convenient and accessible opportunities for nurses who want to focus on advanced knowledge in an area that is of particular interest to them.”
ETSU’s MSN program includes specialty concentrations in nursing administration, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, nursing education and family nurse practitioner. Full-time and part-time program plans are available.
To determine the rankings, U.S. News examined key data from the following: engagement, expert opinion, faculty credentials and training, services and technologies, and student excellence.
