ETSU Foundation
Faculty, staff, and students will return to ETSU classrooms soon. This is always a period for renewal, reflection, and preparation — a time for educators to recharge as they undertake the critical work of nurturing our children and educating our citizens. It’s a time of similar rejuvenation for the Foundation and Board membership. We offer a heartfelt thank you and farewell to Lt. Gen. Ron Hite for his inspirational leadership over the years, to outgoing board members, and at the same time, an enthusiastic welcome to incoming Foundation Board members!
As ETSU President Brian Noland reminded us all recently, ETSU was founded with a singular purpose: to improve the quality of life for people throughout the region. It is significant that, in pursuing that mission, our institution began by offering teacher preparation programs. Placing education first helps to unlock human potential, expand horizons, and provide more opportunities.
Likewise, the purpose of the ETSU Foundation is to raise and manage private support for the university to achieve these goals and to develop a world-class educational environment in which students can thrive. We do this by engaging all our donors, partners, and friends and by relying on a professional fundraising staff. Together, we can all encourage, leverage, and celebrate the importance of each gift.
Collectively, we just completed a very successful Campaign for ETSU, raising well over $145 million – we’ll celebrate this accomplishment during our Distinguished President’s Trust event on October 7, 2022. We'll announce the final total at this event and we hope you can join us to recognize this amazing achievement!
While this was a huge milestone, there’s much more to do and we look forward to working with all of you to continue to make a difference in the lives of students and families in and around the region. Soon, you’ll receive committee assignments and/or meeting schedules, but in the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out to us, to anyone on the “Contact Us” page, or send an email to give@etsu.edu. You can also follow our activities on social media at @AdvanceETSU.
Welcome to the Foundation and Go Bucs!
