What are Prestigious Awards?
Prestigious awards are competitive scholarship opportunities for students and recent
graduates. Prestigious opportunities shift one's way of thinking towards and impactful
influence on the globe in a positive way. Students do not necessarily need to be prepared
to apply before they consult with us! The good news is that anyone can become a competitive
applicant for prestigious awards opportunities with a combination of preparation,
determination, and rigor. We are here to help steer you towards your goals.
Benefits
Individuals that receive prestigious awards often are often eligible for non-competitive status when applying to federal government jobs. The reputable acknowledgement of the award demonstrates to employers and graduate schools an individual's leadership and professional scholar abilities. Receiving one award can even make an individual more competitive for additional prestigious awards!
Under-Represented Student Populations
All opportunities are looking for diverse candidates. This includes, but is not limited to, race, ethnicity, LGBTQI*, gender, first generation college student, disability, veteran status or military affiliation, and Appalachian representation. If you are a student that meets the minimum criteria and have the academic rigor to work through these processes, we are here to help you find the appropriate fit! We also recognize that some students are on the cusp of meeting the minimum requirements and strive to become competitive for the opportunities above. Our office is also for you.
Alternate Name(s): prestigious awards, nationally competitive scholarships, scholar development opportunities
