Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of relevant sport and equipment and apparel needs. Knowledge of procurement and purchasing practices. Knowledge of inventory management. Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain composure under pressure. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task. Ability to understand and interpret licensing agreements.
Role Description
Responsible for executing all daily operational matters relating to athletic programs, student-athletes and the coaching staff. This role serves as a liaison, working with institutional departments, alumni, and the public. Specialized and progressively responsible experience is required as the level increases.
Levels
Athletics Operations 1Organizes equipment rooms and storage areas. Education/Experience:Typically requires a high school diploma and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Licenses/Certifications:Equipment Manager’s Certification (AEMA) preferred. |
Athletics Operations 2Coordinates travel; including planning transportation, meals, itineraries, and expenses. Education/Experience:Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Licenses/Certifications:Applicable certification may be required. |
