Role Description
Responsible for the administrative leadership, direction, training, and operational management of development and alumni relations efforts. Provides strategic expertise and guidance on a broad cross-section of administrative functions. This role accomplishes goals through overseeing their areas of responsibility, planning, managing resources, prioritizing, and directing the responsibilities of employees.

Development and Alumni Relations Management 1Responsible to the Vice President for overall leadership and direct supervision of staff and processes related to biographical, prospect research, gift and pledge processing and information systems. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree is required. Five+ years of progressively responsible work experience in a fundraising operation, financial administration or transferable experience required. Managerial experience. |
Development and Alumni Relations Management 2Responsible to executive leadership for strategic leadership, direction, and goal-setting; Represents the institution in front of key internal and external stakeholders. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree is required. Five+ years of progressively responsible work experience in a fundraising operation, financial administration, and higher education required. Managerial experience. |
Development and Alumni Relations Management 3Responsible to the University President to serve as the chief development officer for the university and provide leadership for all major fundraising activity; administrating and managing all development and fundraising and alumni affairs programs; serving as President/CEO of the ETSU Foundation and coordinating all activities of the Board of Directors and membership; supervising administrative and classified personnel; and performing other related duties as assigned. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree is required. Seven+ years of progressively responsible work experience in a fundraising operation, financial administration, and higher education required. Managerial experience. |
