Knowledge of accounting, financial, organization, and management principles as those apply to fundraising in a university environment. Ability to inspire confidence and trust in donors and stakeholders to encourage support of the university. Ability to work collaboratively and manage communications and interactions across multiple university departments. Ability to communicate effectively. Role Description
Responsible for providing leadership, direction, training, and management for activities, resources, strategic fundraising, event planning and operations. Provides strategic expertise and guidance, and has increased accountability. This role accomplishes goals through overseeing their areas of responsibility, planning, managing resources, prioritizing, and directing the responsibilities of employees.
Levels
Development and Alumni Relations Professional 1Develops events, programs, goals, and stratagies to generate support for the University; Oversees and supervises day to day activities, assists with evaluating success of departmental efforts. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree is required. At least one to two years of experience in alumni, fundraising, development; individuals with at least three or more years of experience in relevant sales or relationship building experience will also be considered. |
Development and Alumni Relations Professional 2Develops and coordinates strategic fundraising/support plans for University colleges/programs; Cultivates relationships with individuals, foundations, and the corporate and business sectors. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree is required. At least three or more years of experience in alumni, fundraising, development; individuals with at least three or more years of experience in relevant sales or relationship building experience will also be considered. |
