Facilities Services General Maintenance

Role Description
Responsible for providing a variety of general repair and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Typical Functions:
Performs a variety building maintenance projects to maintain facility.
Utilizes diagnostic test equipment, hand, and power tools.
Inspects equipment and performs preventative maintenance.
Prepares surfaces for finishing and applies paint.
Performs a variety of plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, and other semi-skilled
trades work.
Maintains grounds and performs custodial duties as a secondary function to the role.
Repairs equipment.
Levels
Facilities Services General Maintenance 1Performs routine and semi-skilled craft work in support of routine building and equipment
maintenance, grounds keeping, and construction projects, under close supervision. Education/Experience:Typically requires a high school diploma and six months of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. May require the ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license, Commercial Driver’s License, or equipment operation certification. Specialized licensure or certification may be required. |

Education/Experience:Typically requires a high school diploma and one year of relevant experience, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
