IT Administrator/Analyst

Role Description
Responsible for providing support and collaboration for the design, development, testing, maintenance, documentations, and administration of projects and solutions. Creates solutions to problems identified by university stakeholders and partners. Responsible for the delivery of service, administration of projects, and the design of solutions. May supervise the work of others; however, this is a secondary function of the role. Competencies for this role are usually gained through formal education, specialized training, and/or experience in a program or specialty area specific to the position responsibilities.
Typical Functions:
Creates documentation and testing plans.
Works on project teams to develop and implement projects.
Develops and conducts training.
Provides support after project implementation.
Mentors and provides work direction to others.
Supervises work of staff and project teams.
Administrator
Supports the design and implementation of systems.
Creates documentation of processes for quality control.
Identifies issues with systems.
Analyst
Plans, designs, analyzes and implements systems.
Writes programs and develops software.
Provides support for vendor products to address internal needs.
Develops programs to extract data from a variety of systems.
Creates and configures products in the background for multiple systems to ensure they
function simultaneously for end users.
Creates testing plans.
Levels
IT Administrator/Analyst 1Independently analyzes technical problems and implements solutions in collaboration
with higher-level staff or supervisor. Education/Experience:Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Applicable certification may be preferred. |
