MEDICAL ACADEMIC ASSOCIATE
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Familiarity with residency and fellowship program requirements and structure. Knowledge of accurate record-keeping practices, especially for attendance and compliance. Awareness of standards and regulations related to medical education (e.g., ACGME guidelines). Role Description
Responsible for providing essential administrative support within medical academic departments, assisting with a range of tasks that ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include handling departmental communications, managing schedules, organizing records, and supporting faculty, staff, and students. This role may also involve entry-level support for residency and fellowship programs, such as assisting with applicant tracking, coordinating meetings, and preparing documentation related to program compliance.
Typical Functions:
Manages and organizes departmental calendars, including scheduling meetings and coordinating
events.
Prepares and distributes correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
Maintains and updates departmental records and filing systems.
Assists with the administration of residency and fellowship applications, including
tracking and processing materials.
