MEDICAL CLINICAL ASSOCIATE
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Proficient in office management and administrative procedures. Ability to manage scheduling, patient registration, and record-keeping efficiently. Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Knowledge of medical billing and coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS). Role Description
Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of clinics and the coordination of patient care and medical programs. This role focuses on supporting clinical teams by managing patient interactions, coordinating program logistics, and ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction. This role manages front-line patient interactions, including scheduling, answering queries, and facilitating the patient experience.
Typical Functions:
Serves as the primary point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling,
patient inquiries, and communication with medical teams.
Facilitates patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring that all documentation
and patient information is accurate and up to date.
Assists with the implementation and coordination of clinical programs, including health
screenings, patient education sessions, and treatment follow-ups.
Manages program logistics, including scheduling, communication with participants,
and ensuring materials and resources are available.
Maintains accurate patient records, processes referrals, and ensures that documentation
adheres to clinic policies and regulatory requirements.
Provides administrative support for clinic operations, including managing patient
billing, insurance claims, and other clerical tasks.
Enters and manages patient data in clinic databases, ensuring the accuracy and security
of patient information.
Provides patients with information on clinic services, treatment options, and healthcare
resources.
