Public Safety Emergency, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EEHS) Technician
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of standard procedures or tests related to the assigned area. Basic computer skills. Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to follow proper PPE (personal protective equipment) guidelines. Ability to work under hazardous and emergency response conditions. Ability to prioritize work in situations requiring a quick response.
Role Description
Responsible for a variety of tasks that improve and protect environmental health. The EEHS Technician acts as the front line for operating and training on equipment; as well as implementing emergency, environmental, health & safety policies. This position is not responsible for deciding on organizational policy, but is responsible for monitoring and inspecting facilities and equipment for compliance with university policies, government ordinance, or OSHA regulations.

Public Safety EEHS TechnicianPerforms work under close supervision and is guided by established policies and procedures. Education/Experience:Typically requires a high school diploma and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Applicable certifications may be required. |
