PUBLIC SERVICE MANAGEMENT
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge of multiple specialty functions related to the area of service. Knowledge of internal budgeting procedures/processes. Knowledge of management concepts, principles, and practices. Ability to analyze situations, determine challenges and recommend new programs or services.
Role Description
Responsible for the leadership, direction, training, and operational management of areas specializing in public services. Provides strategic expertise and guidance on a broad cross-section of functions. This role accomplishes goals through overseeing their areas of responsibility, planning, managing resources, prioritizing, and directing the responsibilities of employees.
Levels
Public Service Management 1Manages the day-to-day operations, budget, and personnel of a unit within an agency. Education/Experience:Typically requires an advanced degree in a relevant field and five years of relevant, progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Supervisory experience. Applicable certification may be required. |

units or large specialty area that has agency-wide impact. Education/Experience:Typically requires an advanced degree in a relevant field and six years of relevant, progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
