Role Description
Responsible for participating in learning activities in academic spaces including simulation rooms and laboratories. Provides support, coordination, and facilitation in learning environments.
Typical Functions:
Organize and support hands-on learning experiences in simulation rooms and laboratories.
Collaborate with faculty to align learning activities with curriculum goals and outcomes.
Ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available and maintained for
effective learning sessions.
Assist in the development and implementation of assessments to evaluate student learning
and skills.
Incorporate educational technologies into learning environments to enhance the teaching
and learning experience.
Work closely with faculty and academic staff to design and implement effective teaching
strategies.
Levels
Teaching and Learning Academic Support 1Assists in preparing teaching and learning activities in an academic or laboratory
setting. Education/Experience:Typically requires an associate’s degree in a relevant field or specialized technical training, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Applicable certification may be required. |
Teaching and Learning Academic Support 2Trains students on laboratory procedures and safety. Education/Experience:Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and one year of experience in subject matter, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Applicable certification may be required. |
Teaching and Learning Academic Support 3Teaches sections of laboratories, presents lectures, or facilitates group discussions. Education/Experience:Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Applicable certification may be required. |
