Job Purpose
Work performed in a variety of skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and masonry and performing related work as required.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Performs a variety of carpentry tasks in the construction and maintenance of buildings and other facilities
Performs a variety of plumbing tasks such as removing, replacing or repairing plumbing fixtures, water lines, etc.
Performs work of an unskilled, semi-skilled, or skilled nature when necessary such as painting, masonry, etc.
Performs other work as assigned

Job Specifications
Completion of the tenth grade; experience in building and plant maintenance involving a variety of work such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and masonry
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics
Knowledge of methods, material, and procedures used in general repair and maintenance work
Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Knowledge of machines, tools, and equipment used in a variety of tasks as required
Ability to follow instructions
Ability to use, clean, repair and maintain equipment, tools, and machinery required in accomplishing tasks
Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other employees
