Definition
Employees in this class are under general supervision. Work performed in microfilming various documents, and in maintaining records and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Loads film, adjusts camera, and microfilms documents.
Boxes film to be shipped for processing.
Checks processed film for errors.
Keeps production totals of items processed and prepares activity report on items processed as required.
Types or notes entries in logs.
Files records, cards, tapes, boxes, etc.
Performs routine checks and maintenance on equipment.
May perform other clerical duties such as answering phone, typing various materials, posting grades, etc.
May oversee, direct or check work of student workers, temporary employees and/or lower level clerical employees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Abilities
Typing ability.
Willingness to work and willingness to work with others.
Administrative and supervisory ability.
Verbal comprehension.
Numerical facility.
Verbal expression.
Recommended Qualifications
Applicants possessing these qualifications have a good probability for success in this class. However, applicants not possessing these qualifications should apply if they believe their training and experience will enable them to perform the work successfully. High school graduate or equivalent; type 35 wpm.
