Definition
Employees in this class are under general supervision. Work performed in overseeing and providing testing services. Performs other duties as assigned.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees and provides testing services for students or clients.
Receives requests for testing services.
Composes correspondence and answers inquiries.
Inventories supplies.
May assist in testing lab.
Administers and scores tests.
Records grades on logs, record books, etc.
Prepares and submits reports to departmental offices, counselors, etc.
Analyzes and/or interprets test results.
May supervise clerical employees.
Maintains and updates records and reports.
May assist in developing tests, evaluation plans, vocational objectives, and/or selection devices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to organize and compile data.
Ability to express oneself in writing.
Ability to express oneself orally in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to handle administrative matters.
Ability to attend to detail.

Supervisory ability.
Recommended Qualifications
Applicants possessing these qualifications have a good probability for success in this class. However, applicants not possessing these qualifications should apply if they believe their training and experience will enable them to perform the work successfully. Two years academic coursework in a college or university; two years general office experience; ability to communicate effectively with students and administrators; demonstrated supervisory ability and basic typing skills required. Preferred qualifications: familiarity with and experience in proctoring large group tests; Bachelor's degree preferred.
