New Associate Editor
JOHNSON CITY – (April 8, 2015) Dr. Jill Stinson, a faculty member in East Tennessee State University’s Department of Psychology, has been named associate editor of the journal Sexual Abuse: A Journal of Research and Treatment.
The journal is the official publication of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers and is geared toward mental health providers, probation and parole officers and others who work to prevent and understand sexual violence. It is a top-rated national and international journal in criminology and forensic research.
Stinson is one of six associate editors for the journal and will oversee submissions on treatment outcomes and vulnerable populations. She has been active with the association since 2001 and has served on numerous committees for the development of practice standards and public policy.
At ETSU, she teaches in the undergraduate and graduate programs and serves as director of clinical training for the clinical psychology Ph.D. program.
Stinson holds dual Ph.D. degrees in clinical psychology and psychology, law, and policy from the University of Arizona. She joined the ETSU faculty in 2012.
Her appointment as associate editor is for a term of three years.
