Rx drug abuse talk
JOHNSON CITY (September 12, 2014) – Dr. Sarah Melton, a professor in East Tennessee State University’s Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, will lead the College of Public Health’s Grand Rounds event slated to take place on Friday, Sept. 19, from 12-1 p.m.
Melton will be joined by members of the pharmacy school’s organization, Generation Rx. Their talk will focus on prescription drug abuse in the Appalachian Region. It will be based on an interprofessional approach to appropriate use of controlled substances.
The event will take place in Room 116 of Lamb Hall.
It is open to all students, faculty and staff at ETSU as well as members of the public, including doctors, nurses and other health care professionals. Attendees are welcome to bring their lunch to eat while at the presentation.
