The ETSU Foundation welcomed several new members into the Distinguished President’s Trust (DPT) during a luncheon on Friday, Feb. 9.
The DPT recognizes donors to the ETSU Foundation whose lifetime giving to ETSU has reached $10,000 or higher. These honorees were inducted into the DPT Carillon Society, which identifies those whose giving is between $10,000 - $24,999.

“Today, we celebrate the dreams that are being made possible on this campus, the pathways
that are being shaped, and the opportunities that are being realized, all because
of the generosity and vision of the individuals here in this room,” said Trent White,
president of the ETSU Student Government Association who presided over the event along
with fellow Roan Scholar Sally Chikomb.
“Your gifts are used in many ways, such as creating new opportunities for our students
and faculty, strengthening our academic programs, and enhancing our campus facilities,”
he said.
Chikomb added, “Because of the people in this room, our students and faculty can continue to dream. Thank you for making this possible.”

ETSU President Dr. Brian Noland and ETSU Foundation Chairman Rick Storey presented each honoree with a crystal of the letter “E.”
“For all that you have done and for all that you continue to do, we offer you our deepest gratitude,” Noland told the guests. “Your legacy is interwoven with the very fabric of East Tennessee State University, and for that, we are eternally grateful. Thank you, once again, for carrying forward the torch that was lit more than a century ago, ensuring that it burns ever brighter with each passing year.”
ETSU will hold its annual Distinguished President’s Trust dinner on April 12 in the ETSU D.P. Culp Student Center.
