The College of Nursing is a leader in nursing education at bachelor, masters and doctoral levels and nationally recognized for its nurse-managed health centers, rural focus, interdisciplinary programs, and community partnerships.

Schedule an ETSU Campus Visit

Please come visit us at ETSU! We would love to show you our beautiful campus, which spans over 350 acres and contains a certified Arboretum. There are more than 60 academic and administrative buildings, and approximately 3 million square feet of space, with network access available in every classroom, office, residence hall and building. Wifi access is established throughout the campus, so you can stay connected indoors and out.

Campus tours are generally offered September through July at 9:00 AM EST and 1:00 PM EST Monday through Friday. Student Admissions Ambassadors will be your tour guide. Additionally, a limited number of Saturday tours are offered during the Fall and Spring Semesters. Visit our campus tour reservation system to see specific tour dates and times and setup YOUR tour.

To request a College of Nursing tour, we welcome you to contact our Office of Student Services by emailing us at or calling us at 423-439-4578.

Office hours are 8:00 AM EST to 4:30P.AM EST Monday through Friday.

Our Location

The ETSU College of Nursing is located on ETSU's main campus in Roy S. Nicks Hall, 365 Stout Drive, Johnson City, TN 37614 (across the lawn from the D.P. Culp University Center).

There is metered parking in the lot behind Nicks Hall located off of Stout Drive.

If you have a visitors parking permit, you may park in the lots between Burgin-Dossett and Gilbreath Halls, near the Carillon (bell tower).

The Office of Student Services is located in Room 230 of Nicks Hall.

Please be aware that some GPS systems have difficulty finding specific campus buildings, so we suggest using the physical address noted above. You may also use this link: to open a Google map to the building.

Visitor Parking Permit

All campus visitors are required to obtain a visitor parking permit from the Parking Services office. 

These are available from 7:30 AM EST until 4:30 PM EST, Monday through Friday.

Visitors may also request a visitor parking permit in advance via email at or online at

All visitor permits must be displayed date side up on the front dashboard of the vehicle on the driver’s side.

Visitors are authorized to park in any Faculty/Staff or Student lot.

Visitors are not authorized to park as follows:

  • Time Restricted Spaces (unless honoring the time limit)
  • Metered Lots (unless paying the meter)
  • Fire Lanes
  • Yellow Zones
  • Carpool Reserved Spaces
  • Service Vehicle Reserved Spaces
  • Disability Spaces (unless hang tag, placard, or disability license plate is displayed)
  • Health Clinic Reserved or BucSports Reserved Space (unless visiting the clinics as a patient)
  • Departmental Reserved Spaces
  • Any other Reserved Spaces (denoted by signage)

Backed-In or Pulled-Through Parking

Vehicles are not to be backed into parking spaces and must be headed into the closed end of the designated parking space.
Persons operating a properly registered mobility lift vehicle may back into a disability parking space to provide access or egress from the vehicle.

On-Street Parallel Parking

Vehicles are not to be parked against the flow of traffic; vehicles must be parked with the right wheels next to the curb on a two-way street. Every vehicle stopped or parked must have the wheels of the vehicle parallel to within eighteen (18) inches of the curb.
