Dr. Brooklyn Nelson is from Terre Haute, Indiana and completed her pharmacy education at Purdue University College of Pharmacy. Upon graduation, she completed her first year of post-graduate training (PGY1) focused in Ambulatory Care at Campbell University College of Pharmacy/Wilson Community Health Center in North Carolina followed by a PGY2 Ambulatory Care residency at East Tennessee State University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy. She now serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy's Department of Pharmacy Practice at East Tennessee State University. Dr. Nelson also holds a Lead Ambulatory Clinical Pharmacist position with Ballad Health Medical Associates in both Johnson City and Elizabethton, Tennessee where she has a collaborative practice agreement with six physicians and four nurse practitioners. Her areas of interest include transitions of care, ambulatory care practice advancement, and chronic disease state management. She is also a member of ASHP and TPA.
