Open Swim

Open to all CPA members who would like to come and enjoy the pool. We offer both lap swim and recreational swim. Campus Recreation programs have priority over pool space during open swim hours. You must swipe in before coming into the CPA to use the pool.

Family Swim

Updated Policy (revised March 14, 2019): A recreational swim time where ETSU Faculty, Staff and Students' families can enjoy the pool to meet and interact with other ETSU families. A Faculty/Staff/Student member can bring up to 5 childern with one Faculty/Staff/Student active membership and must present their ETSU ID at the front desk to sign-in. A Guest Pass may be purchased with an ETSU sponsor. However, Guest Passes do not grant access to allow additional family members. One ETSU ID is required, per 5 childern. Campus Recreation programs have priority over pool space during family swim hours.

Lifeguard Certification

Interested in becoming an American Red Cross Lifeguard? We now offer ARC Lifeguard Classes. Visit our online portal to view the prerequisite swim test and to learn about program dates. ETSU Faculty/Staff/Students can register online here. Community guests can register in person at Member Services.

Swim Clinics

On Wednesdays in April, we will be offering four 45 minute swim clinics which will focus on freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. These clinics are designed to teach basics and assist with form. Participants must be able to swim 50 yards consistently (down and back) and must be 16 years of age. Swim clinics are free to students and $5 for faculty/staff/alumni. Registration opens January 14. To register, visit our member portal above.

Private Swim Lessons

Private lessons are offered on a first come, first serve basis. This is due to instructor availability. If you are interested in private swim lessons, please email  to request a private swim lesson form. Completing the form does not guarantee availability of instructors. Before purchasing, the Aquatics Coordinator will confirm an instructor is available with dates and times.

SUP Yoga

Join us for stand-up paddle board yoga in the pool! The class is limited to 10 participants (student/faculty/staff). Register through our member portal above.

Pool Reservations

To reserve the pool for private events, please contact Savanna Moeller via email . Staffing costs are calculated based on the total number of attendees. Rental fees will be determined by Campus Recreation staff and may require a 2 hour minimum when applicable.

Try Scuba Diving

Thanks to Smoky Mountain Divers, Campus Recreation and the Student Organization Resource Center were able to sponsor a Try Scuba Night at the CPA. Join us again on January 31, March 21 or April 18! You must be registered to participate. Click here to register. If you have any questions please email Carter Warden  or Savanna Moeller .
