Some mental health issues are best treated with a combination of personal counseling and psychiatric medication.
We provide confidential, short-term psychiatric services for a SMALL FEE to clients already receiving personal counseling at our center. Clients receiving these services must maintain monthly psychotherapy appointments at a minimum.
Please note that as a policy we do NOT prescribe the following types of medication:
- Benzodiazepines (Valium, Xanax, Klonopin, Etc...)
- Opiod Pain Killers (Vicodin, OxyContin, Etc...)
- $10 (1st session)
- $5 (subsequent sessions)
If you "late cancel" or "no show", you must pay the full session cost before re-scheduling.
For students interested in psychiatric services ONLY we recommend ETSU Student Health Service.
Make a Psychiatric Appointment
For New Clients: You must already be a Counseling Center client to be eligible to receive psychiatric services.
For Returning Clients: Call our front desk to make a new appointment with your psychiatrist.
Medication Refill Policy
We need 72 business hours (M-F) in order to refill a prescription.
If there was a typo or other error in the text of a prescription you have already received, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assist you.
Please note that the University is closed every year the week between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day. We are unable to provide any refills or other medication adjustments during this time. Please plan accordingly.
