Emergency Closures
Emergency Closures
If classes on the main campus are cancelled due to inclement weather or any other emergency, University Testing Services' course testing will also close. In the event of an emergency closure that occurs during our regularly scheduled operating hours, students currently testing will be permitted to finish, but test-takers who have yet to be admitted to the testing area will be required to reschedule their testing appointments. If emergency closure occurs before test proctoring opens, that day's appointments will automatically be cancelled and test-takers will be prompted to reschedule to test on the next available day.
If an emergency closure occurs on the last day a particular test is open, a member of our staff will contact instructors ASAP to discuss available options for extension, re-scheduling, or make-up testing. It is up to the instructor to decide on the appropriate alternative arrangement in a timely manner so that UTS staff can update seat availability in our registration system; it is also the instructor's responsibility to communicate with their students regarding whatever arrangements are made.
