Our transfer team is here to guide you through every step of the process and answer any questions you may have about cost, transfer equivalencies, admissions requirements, and more.

Transfer Checklist
1. Talk to a Transfer Advisor
Your advisor is here to assist in making your transfer process a smooth one. Reach out for any questions about transcripts, transfer admissions requirements, course registration, and more.
2. Apply for Admission as a Transfer Student
Complete the undergraduate transfer application and submit all required documents for the transfer admissions process.
3. Activate Your Student Account
Once you have applied, set up your student Goldlink account. You can check your application status and view when we have received your transcripts.
4. Submit Official Academic Transcripts
Request that official copies (sealed, unopened versions) of ALL college transcripts be sent directly to ETSU Undergraduate Admissions from the accrediting institution.
5. Declare a Major
Schedule an appointment with an ETSU Academic Advisor to declare your intended major. Your advisor will help you define and achieve your academic goals.
6. See How Your Courses Will Transfer
Use our transfer course equivalencies table to determine how the credits you have earned will transfer to ETSU.
7. File Your FAFSA
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and list ETSU as your first school in the “School Selection” section. ETSU’s school code is 003487.
8. Verify Your Residency
All students must verify their residency. Send a photo of your state or federal government-issued I.D. to documents@etsu.edu.
