Important to know before submitting an agenda item....

The primary emphases of the University Council are oversight of and responsibility for implementing the institution’s strategic plan and to facilitate shared governance and communication.  In its efforts to execute ETSU’s strategic agendas, the University Council focuses on issues that have a direct impact on the university’s mission, budget realignment initiatives, the President’s directives and priorities, accountability, and compliance with the principles of accreditation under the Southern Association of Colleges and School Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).

The University Council recognizes and values the recommendations and perspectives of the University Community and periodically invites input from all constituents via the Request for Comment process as it coordinates the ongoing review of institutional policies and procedures prior to review by the President and the ETSU Board of Trustees.

In addition, the University Council welcomes input from the ETSU Community via email.
