Charge: |
Develop an operational structure for the High Performance Computer Cluster (HPCC) including selection of a director; Development of goals for the HPCC; Develop a process of recovering costs where appropriate, particularly from users of the HPCC which are external to ETSU; Advise the Director concerning protocols to follow in identification of projects of strategic interest to ETSU; Develop protocols to identify extra-ordinary opportunities such as industry partnerships which might entail making exceptions to the established processes, goals, and protocols; Advise the Director concerning priority usage, disk space allocations, and hardware and software needs of the HPCC; Evaluate the effectiveness of the HPCC in enhancing research, including sponsored research and student research at ETSU. |
