Congratulations to our Middle School VEX IQ Robotics team. They competed in their
1st challenge on Saturday, February 15th, in a field of 33 teams at Green Magnet Academy
in Knoxville, TN.
In the VEX Robotics Competition, presented by the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation, teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams in a game-based engineering challenge. Classroom STEM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, and more.
University School faculty members Dr. Erica Preswood and Ms. Lisa Reis received a grant from the Southeastern Center of Robotics Education (S.C.O.R.E.) for Elementary and Middle School VEX-IQ Robotics Teams.
