Zoom Conferencing
Zoom is a web-based conferencing software used to share information and host meetings over the internet. It can be used to collaborate via chat, microphone, or webcam to virtually any device with an internet connection, including computers, laptops, tablets and smart phones. Entire meetings can be recorded for later viewing.
Pro Zoom accounts are available to all faculty, staff and students at ETSU. To log in, visit https://etsu.zoom.us and sign in with your current ETSU credentials.
Zoom & Healthcare
ETSU Zoom accounts are not considered HIPAA compliant in and of themselves. If your unit is interested in using Zoom in a manner that involves patients or patient information, please contact the HIPAA Compliance Office for additional information on next steps. hipaa@etsu.edu or 423.439.8533

Zoom Recordings in Panopto
All Zoom recordings are automatically transferred to ETSU's video hosting platform,
Panopto. You can visit etsu.edu/panopto to review, edit, and share your recordings.
Zoom AI Companion
Zoom's AI features, such as AI Meeting Summaries and In-Meeting Questions, are now available for optional use. Resources are available to help ETSU faculty, staff, and students enable these tools,
understand how to recognize when they're active, and consider important legal and
privacy guidelines for proper use.
