The ETSU Friends of Astronomy
The Harry D. Powell Observatory and the ETSU Astronomy Program are supported in part by the ETSU Friends of Astronomy program. The Friends of Astronomy is a recognized group of supporters dedicated to the advancement of astronomy at ETSU.
The funds are used for Astronomy-related activities at ETSU, including equipment, supplies, and maintenance for the campus Observatory and Planetarium. For more information about this program or to make a tax-deductible contribution, contact the Office of University Advancement or call (423)-439-4242.
Also, ask about the LEAP Scholarship fund (Learning Experiences in Astronomy and Physics). This fund helps support research and teaching experiences for Physics majors.
