University Honors Scholars

Class of 2017

The University Honors Scholars program is a four-year, cohort-based honors program for high-performing students who enter ETSU as freshmen right out of high school.

The program offers a distinctive honors curriculum with a focused liberal arts experience and an emphasis on undergraduate research and creative activity. Our honors scholars, faculty, and staff form a community that emphasizes critical thinking, engaging in significant undergraduate research or creative activity, and being an active part of ETSU.

In addition, we sponsor activities, events, and programs designed to enhance the collective cultural and intellectual environment and foster a more global perspective within the university community.

If you are a prospective student, we invite you to review our website and then contact us with questions. We can even arrange a visit to campus!

If you are a current scholar, we hope the information on this website will help you better understand honors requirements and put you in touch with the many faculty and staff who are available to assist you.

If you are an alumnus or alumna, we would love to hear from you. We would be delighted to host you at Honors House, involve you in honors classes or Great Room Gigs, and receive your gifts of time and treasure.
